The Tournament Rules
- The conventional laws of the game, as modified for seven-a-side competitions will apply.
- All matches except for the finals, shall be played for seven minutes each way, with one minute allowed for half-time.
- The finals shall be played for ten minutes each way with two minutes for half-time.
- In the event of a draw at full-time, teams will change ends and continue to play until a score takes place which shall then decide the match.
- Substitutions may be made during the course of the game but any replacement player must be from the original team list of 10 as submitted to the organisers. (No replaced player may rejoin the game).
- At its sole discretion, the organising committee reserves the right to disqualify any team that plays a player who is not currently in full-time employment, or a partner of a firm he is representing.
- Due to the number of teams in the competition, the highest scoring losing team of the first round will be put through to the 2nd round of the main competition. The highest scoring loser of the 1st round in the plate competition will also be put through to the 2nd round of the plate competition.
Teams (& Ringers)
Teams should consist of employees and partners of firms ONLY and a list of team players (max 10) will be required at least two weeks before the tournament. We are aware that in previous years some firms have decided to field 'ringers' as part of their team. We have a NO TOLERANCE policy on 'ringers', and any team found to be using a 'ringer' will be immediately disqualified.
